Students can choose either a weekly hour lesson with 30 minutes dedicated to each discipline, or a second option of a voice lesson one week and a piano lesson the following week, back and forth between both disciplines week to week. This is especially helpful for students who have a strong desire to study both voice and piano concurrently but find themselves with limited time or resources.

Voice lessons are available for students starting at age 7. Occasionally, younger students are accepted into the voice program if demonstrate the muscle control and focus necessary for the mastery of vocal technical skills. Certificate of Merit is also offered in voice, or students can choose a tailor-made program based on their own musical interests.

Overview

Piano lessons are offered to students age 5 and over. Students can pursue either the Certificate of Merit program in piano, or can have their own specialized curriculum designed specifically suited to their individual musical goals. Melinda never uses boring method books, but instead utilizes music from a wide variety of exciting genres. Technique, music theory, sight-reading, and artistry are emphasized to provide a full musical education for the pianist. For younger students check out "Budding Beethovens" below!
